The solar retailer responsible for the procurement, sale and arrangement of the installation (including grid connection, where applicable) of a solar PV system for a customer will need to complete a written statement in order for that system to eligible for small-scale technology certificates (STCs). Registered agents will obtain this written statement from solar retailers in order to create STCs.
Solar retailers should engage with their chosen registered agent(s) to ensure they are completing the correct form.
Solar retailer written statements are required for all solar PV systems installed from 1 April 2022.
