Ongoing activities
Companies are expected to maintain details of their issued exemption certificate throughout the year by:
- Recording relevant metered electricity and other elements to determine the electricity consumption that accumulates through the year.
- Notifying the Clean Energy Regulator of any site changes that impact the certifiable amount as soon as practicable. This ensures that the notice of certifiable amount is issued quickly.
- Requesting an amendment to exemption certificates for an application year if there are any changes.
- Engaging with your liable entity as early as possible to ensure they are aware what you expect your site’s amount of exemption will be for the year.
