To sell large-scale generation certificates (LGCs):
1. Find a suitable liable entity, LGC trader, or individual who wants to purchase your LGCs.
2. Negotiate quantity, price and payment method with your purchaser(s).
3. Enter into an agreement to sell your large-scale generation certificates to a purchaser(s).
4. Receive payment:
- Payment negotiations must be conducted outside of the
REC Registry.
- The
REC Registry does not have any payment facilities for the sale of large-scale generation certificates through the market.
5. Transfer large-scale generation certificates to the buyer using the 'Certificates and transfer' option in the
REC Registry.
6. Open the
REC Registry and log in with your username and password.
7. From the menu tabs at the side of the screen, select 'Certificates and transfer', then 'Certificate transfers':

8. The 'Certificates transfers' page will display:

9. Select 'Transfer certificates' button at the top of the page.
10. Find available LGCs. Use the filters to find the type of certificates you want to transfer.

11. Type in the number of LGCs to be transferred.
12. Find the account name of the purchaser (Use 'Search' if required, or type in the name in directly).
13. Add in a note to be seen by the buyer if desired.
14. Click 'Transfer certificates'.

15. You will be returned to your 'Certificate transfers' page with a confirmation of the successful transfer:

16. The transferred LGCs are listed in your 'Certificates transfers' page under the filter 'Transfer type > Outgoing':

17. When the receiving account accepts the transfer, the LGCs will be removed from your listing.
Note: The sale of LGCs is a contract for the sale of goods. It is important to ensure there is complete and accurate paperwork accompanying the sale.
