Emissions-intensive trade-exposed (EITE) companies operating large-scale commercial activities (e.g. manufacturing and processing) may apply for exemption certificates under the Renewable Energy Target.
Liable entities that supply electricity to EITE companies can use exemption certificates to reduce their liable electricity for the year under the Renewable Energy Target.
