Under the Renewable Energy Target scheme participants must comply with the requirements of the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Act 2000 (the Act) and the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Regulations 2001.
The Clean Energy Regulator has a proactive policy for monitoring and ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Act and Regulations. Failure to comply for any reason can result in prosecution and penalties where warranted.
