Measurement Determination
The National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (Measurement) Determination 2008 (Measurement Determination) has been updated for 2017–18 onwards. Amendments include:
- Provision of a method for estimating the energy content of sulphur, hydrogen and uranium produced at a facility or consumed at a facility.
- Updating scope 2 emission factors to reflect changes within the National Electricity Market in the last financial year.
- Clarification that the method used to determine scope 2 emissions also applies to electricity transmission network or distribution network facilities that consumes electricity through electricity losses.

Technical guidelines
The National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Technical Guidelines for 2012–13, 2013–14, 2014–15, 2015–16, 2016–17 and 2017-18 financial years are available on the Department of the Environment and Energy website to assist stakeholders in understanding and applying the Measurement Determination.
