The calculators listed below are for the 2022-23 reporting cycle, to help reporters assess their emissions and energy against reporting thresholds, and to report greenhouse gas emissions and energy under the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act 2007 (NGER Act).
The calculators are designed in accordance with the NGER Act, the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Regulations 2008 (NGER Regulations) and the methodologies of relevant parts the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (Measurement) Determination 2008 (Measurement Determination).
Calculators for previous reporting periods are available on the archived resources page.

Uncertainty Calculator and user guide 2022-23
The Uncertainty Calculator is designed to assist reporters in assessing and reporting uncertainty associated with scope 1 emissions where methods other than method 1 are used to report fuels or energy sources. For the 2021-22 reporting period, the Emissions and Energy Reporting System (EERS) will automatically calculate uncertainty associated with scope 1 emissions where method 1 has been used to report fuels and energy sources. The Uncertainty Calculator may assist reporters using higher order methods and/or are required to calculate uncertainty using non-default values when reporting fuels and energy sources.
