Small scale renewable energy tracker - Quarter 1 2019

16 June 2023

See Quarterly Carbon Market Reports for latest updates

The Quarterly Carbon Market Reports replace and combine the former large-scale generation certificate, small-scale technology certificate and Australian carbon credit unit market updates, and the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme data tracker.

For the latest market update, see the Quarterly Carbon Market Report, the leading source of data on Australia’s carbon markets.

Small-scale renewable energy systems installed across Australia: January to March 2019

This map shows the total number of small-scale renewable energy systems installed under the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme in each state and territory for January–March 2019, the top performing postcodes for each state and territory, and the national cumulative installations since 2001.

*Given the 12-month period to create small-scale technology certificates, quarterly installation and capacity figures will continue to rise. The data which informs this quarter’s update is accurate as at 30 April 2019. For monthly figures, please refer to the postcode data for small-scale installations.

Small-scale renewable energy systems and capacity installed for top suburbs this quarter

This table shows the total number of small-scale renewable energy systems and the capacity of small generation units installed under the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme in each of the top performing postcodes for January – March 2019. The capacity data relates to solar PV generation capacity and not electricity displacement from air source heat pumps or solar water heaters.
