2021 market outcomes and tracking against estimates - 2021 Q4 saw 3.4 million ACCUs issued, taking total ACCU supply for 2021 to a record 17 million.
- 54 projects were registered under the ERF in 2021 Q4, including the first project registered under the Carbon Capture and Storage method.
- ACCU spot price increased by $24.40 over the quarter, finishing 2021 at a high of $51.
- Renewable investment saw 1 GW capacity committed in 2021 Q4, taking total committed capacity for 2021 to 2.9 GW.
- An estimated 850 MW rooftop solar PV capacity was installed in 2021 Q4, taking total installed capacity for 2021 to a record 3.2 GW.
- 2021 Q4 saw 328,000 ACCUs and 1.5 million LGCs voluntarily cancelled. Voluntary cancellations for 2021 totalled to a record 950,000 ACCUs and 5.8 million LGCs.
