The 12th Emissions Reduction Fund Auction was held on Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 April 2021.
At the 12th Auction:
- the Clean Energy Regulator committed to purchase 6.8 million tonnes of abatement on behalf of the Commonwealth,
- average price per tonne of abatement purchased at the Auction was $15.99:
- $15.97 for optional delivery, and
- $17.00 for fixed delivery.
- 10 contracts were awarded for 10 projects, and
- the value of all contracts awarded was $108 million.
