The
land and sea transport method credits emissions reductions from projects that improve the energy performance of road, rail and sea transport, and mobile equipment such as mining and agricultural vehicles. It excludes air transport. The method is 'technology neutral' to support a range of activities to reduce emissions intensity within the transport sector, such as:
- replacing existing vehicles
- modifying existing vehicles
- changing energy sources (that is, fuel switching) or the mix of energy sources, or
- changing operational practices.
The webinar will help you to understand the main components of the land and sea method and provide advice to help you apply to run an Emissions Reduction Fund project under this method. There will also be an opportunity to submit questions.
Please note, the webinar is focussed on the method and will not include detailed information regarding the steps to participate in the Emissions Reduction Fund (such as reporting and auditing) or on the process for selling ACCUs through carbon abatement contracts or the secondary market.
