We’re redeveloping our website. There are many benefits of a new website. Here are 5 that you will get from ours.
We want to make it easy for you to find what you need on our website. To do this, we’ll introduce more ways for you to get where you need to go. For example, a new main menu, a smarter search and a list of popular tasks on our home page.
We want to make our site accessible and inclusive for all our users regardless of their ability and environment. To do this, we will meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Level 2.1. For example, a consistent and responsive design that can be viewed on desktop, tablet and mobile.
We’re taking the plain language approach. This means our writing style is clear, concise and easy to understand. To do this, we’re rewriting our content to focus on short sentences and using simple words over complicated language.
We want to guide users through their information-gathering journey. To do this, we’ll use signposting to guide users and improve the design. For example, clear buttons and accordion sections so you can expand the information you’re interested in.
We want to give our users a modern, clean and visually engaging experience. To do this, our new look will align with our new brand, best practice digital design and what we’ve learned from user testing. For example, we will use a consistent colour scheme, typography and iconography across the website.
