The Regulator and Senior Leadership Team will periodically review the strategies and performance of the agency and monitor agency progress against performance measures through the internal performance reporting framework.
The schemes we administer will be subject to the following reviews during the life of the Corporate Plan, in addition to any performance audits undertaken by the Australian National Audit Office.
National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Scheme
The Climate Change Authority is required under the
Climate Change Authority Act 2011 to undertake a review the operation of the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Scheme between 30 June 2016 and 31 December 2018.
Emissions Reduction Fund
The Australian Government will review operational elements of the Emissions Reduction Fund in 2016. The findings of the review will inform the structure of the Emissions Reduction Fund after 2020.
Renewable Energy Target
The Clean Energy Regulator has a statutory requirement to report to Parliament on the operation of the
Renewable Energy (Electricity) Act 2000. From 2016, the Renewable Energy Target Administrative Report (reporting on the previous calendar year) will be complemented by an annual statement on the progress of the Renewable Energy Target scheme in meeting its targets and the scheme’s impact on household electricity bills.
