The Renewable Energy Target Administrative Report, and within it the Renewable Energy Target Annual Statement, covers the operations of the
Renewable Energy (Electricity) Act 2000.
As the Renewable Energy Target has been met, the 2020 Annual Statement is the last statement to the Australian Parliament on progress towards the target. Ongoing and timely reporting on data and information on the performance of renewables in Australia continues to be made available in the
Quarterly Carbon Market Reports.
Final Renewable Energy Target Annual Statement
Previous reports
Reports that detail the Renewable Energy Target administrative operations between 2001 and 2011 were prepared by the former Office of Renewable Energy Regulator before its amalgamation with the Clean Energy Regulator on 2 April 2012.
Additional information
Renewable energy certificates can be created up to 12 months after small-scale systems are installed or by 31 December the year after electricity was generated by power stations.
The complete calendar year data for liable entities' certificate activity is therefore available in between administrative reports.
