The Clean Energy Regulator (CER) remains on track to make a decision on, and announce, the outcome of the installer and designer accreditation scheme operator (ASO) application process in February 2024. For more information read our August update.

We want to engage with accredited persons and industry about preparing for the upcoming changes to the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES). Accredited persons will need to transition to the approved ASO(s), when a decision is made and announced, to maintain their accreditation.

Forums will be held across the following cohorts:

  • currently accredited installers and designers
  • industry bodies
  • state and territory government authorities

Given the volume of accredited persons the CER will run an expression of interest (EOI) process for those that would like to participate in the forum. We will assess the EOIs and form a cohort of between 12 and 15 persons.

The EOI process will open in October 2023 for accredited persons. The CER will contact industry bodies and government authorities directly to participate in the forum. Information from the forum will be published to the CER’s website to assist all accredited persons to transition.
