Get your project registration application in by midnight, next Monday 10 February 2020 (AEDT) or you will miss out on the tenth Emissions Reduction Fund (ERF) auction, on 25 and 26 March 2020.
If you are considering applying, you should first read about planning a project to ensure you understand the schemes’ eligibility requirements.
If you do not submit your project registration application by next Monday, your project will not be eligible to participate, and you will miss out on the funding on offer at this auction.
Land Restoration Fund
If you have a land-based ERF project located in Queensland (QLD) and plan on applying under the QLD Government’s Land Restoration Fund, you may wish to consider the benefits of also engaging at the tenth ERF auction, as the pilot option to deliver contract is on offer.
The Land Restoration Fund is a state initiative that aims to expand carbon farming in QLD by supporting land-sector ERF projects that deliver additional environmental, social and economic co-benefits.
An option contract can provide you with an option to sell abatement to the Commonwealth at a set price regardless of the outcome of the QLD Land Restoration Fund process. If you are successful in the Land Restoration Fund, you will not be obligated to deliver ACCUs to the Commonwealth under the option contract.
