The National Greenhouse and Energy Register records all persons that have registered under the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act 2007 (NGER Act).

By 28 February each year the Clean Energy Regulator must publish the name of each person that was registered under the NGER Act for the previous reporting year.

Up until the introduction of the carbon pricing mechanism, only controlling corporations and Reporting Transfer Certificate (RTC) holders were required to be registered under the NGER Act. From 1 July 2012, the registration requirements were extended so that any 'person' that is a liable entity, is now also required to be registered under the NGER Act.

The extract of the National Greenhouse and Energy Register includes controlling corporations that did not meet a threshold under section 13 of the NGER Act in 2013-14. It also includes persons that were registered as it was likely that they would be liable entities, but were not required to report in 2013-14 as it turned out that they did not meet a liability threshold.

For details of persons that were liable entities in 2013-14 please refer to the Liable Entities Public Information Database (LEPID) for 2013-14 financial year.

Extract of National Greenhouse and Energy Register: Persons that were deregistered, and therefore NOT expected to report under the NGER Act for the 2013-14 reporting year

The following table lists those persons who were registered under the NGER Act during the 2013-14 reporting year, but were deregistered without being required to submit a report for that year. This includes persons that applied for deregistration in relation to the 2013-14 reporting year on the basis that they were unlikely to meet thresholds, were registered controlling corporations that established that they no longer met the definition of a controlling corporation, were invalidly registered or ceased to exist.
