We’re making updates to the Client Portal next week, based on your feedback.

These changes are focused on simplifying and improving the experience for our users who manage organisation information and user access within the Client Portal.

The Client Portal Manager will now be known as the Organisation Administrator and will be automatically updated as such in the portal and the CRM.

This role enables a user to manage their organisation’s information, including:

  • Details like contact information, postal and physical addresses
  • Fit and proper person status
  • Safeguard positions
  • Granting users access to act on the organisation’s behalf

Organisation Administrators can now also view any forms associated with their organisation - no matter who created them.

They will also have the same abilities as ERF Project Reporters and Form Submitters, enabling Organisation Administrators to act on behalf of their own organisations.

Your other feedback on the Client Portal Manager interface was that it was clunky, roles were confusing and it was hard to find information about what each role did. In response, we are introducing:

  • A streamlined access management page for each organisation
  • A simple breakdown of what each Client Portal role can do
  • Dynamic display of additional EERS information and link to the full user guide for organisations registered with EERS.

Other changes include the My Connections page. That’s being replaced by a new section to help administrators manage other users who are authorised to act for their organisations. These changes include:

  • My Connections will become Manage Organisations and Users
  • The Associated Organisations and Associated Individuals pages will become Organisations and Users respectively
  • There will be a new page header area including a title and short description with better context for users
  • Simplified page content
  • Updates to a user’s organisations list with a new column detailing their type of access
  • “Help” text message to assist users who can’t see an organisation they are associated with.

We aim to introduce these changes with minimum inconvenience and maximum user support. Please contact us if you experience any difficulties and, as always, provide us with feedback on your experience with these improvements.
