^ For the 2017 year the due date for exemption certificate applications under regulations 22X (2) and (3) is on or before 2 January 2018 due to 31 December 2017 falling on a weekend and 1 January 2018 also being a public holiday.​

* The timeline for the Clean Energy Regulator to issue an exemption certificate for the 2017 year​ is within the period of 60 days after receiving the application. However, if the Clean Energy Regulator sought further information in respect of the application, the timeline for the Clean Energy Regulator to issue an exemption certificate is within the period of 45 days after receiving the further information. The details of an exemption certificate must be published on the Clean Energy Regulator website within 14 days after it is issued.
