The Department is seeking views on the following draft legislative instrument –
Renewable Energy (Electricity) Amendment (Small-scale Solar Eligibility and Other Measures) Regulations 2019.
This package of amendments will not affect the current level of support provided to households and businesses to install solar PV systems under the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme.
These amendments will:
Providing explicit criteria around what constitutes the boundary of a solar PV device will ensure the integrity of the scheme is maintained and the regulatory burden on participants in interpreting requirements is reduced.
Emissions-intensive trade-exposed businesses and solar panel installers are encouraged to review the draft legislation and make a submission by the
5.00 pm on Friday, 14 December 2018.
