April Large-scale Renewable Energy Target market data now available

The Clean Energy Regulator has released April 2018 Large-scale Renewable Energy Target market data.

April highlights

  • 26 power stations were accredited in April with a combined capacity of 19 megawatts (MW). This includes Narromine Solar Farm (10.9 MW) which is one of the two projects that comprise the Dubbo Solar Hub.
  • The average capacity of commercial and industrial power stations (less than one megawatt) has increased from 0.277 MW in 2017 to 0.295 MW in 2018. This increase shows the continued growth in the size of systems this sector.
  • Four new projects, with a combined capacity of 168 MW, reached financial close by the end of April. Karadoc Solar Farm in Victoria is the largest of these four projects with a capacity of 112 MW.
  • 6235 MW of projects were currently under construction or operating at the end of April. A further 1392 MW of projects have a signed power purchase agreement (PPA).
