November Large-scale Renewable Energy Target data now available

The Clean Energy Regulator has released November 2017 Large-Scale Renewable Energy Target market data.

November highlights

  • 24 power stations with a total capacity of 144.5 MW were accredited in November. This is the second highest month of accreditation capacity this year. This brings the total accredited capacity for 2017 to 645 MW, exceeding the 494 MW accredited in 2016.
  • The first stage of the Lincoln Gap wind farm project reached financial close. The 126 MW of stage one will be installed with 10 MW battery storage capacity.
  • Lakeland Solar and Storage was accredited in November. This is the world’s first utility-scale solar and storage project with 13.5 MW PV capacity accompanied by a 1.4 MW Coenergy ‘CHESS’ storage solution. This project is expected to produce enough electricity to power 3000 homes.
  • Continuing the trend of building solar power stations on university campuses, two more power stations were accredited for La Trobe University in VIC with a combined capacity of 0.5 MW.
