Large-scale Renewable Energy Target supply data

14 December 2017

Contents

Every month the Clean Energy Regulator publishes Large-scale Renewable Energy Target supply data files to track investment in renewable energy.

Provide your feedback

To ensure we continue to provide our clients and stakeholders with relevant and accessible data, please provide your feedback on our current data by completing this short survey.

Fill in survey

These data files provide information about:

  • accredited power stations
  • committed and probable projects
  • total large-scale generation certificates (LGCs) in the REC Registry

The number of LGCs held in the REC Registry and the megawatt capacity of accredited power stations helps participants to quantify the level of supply in the market. LGCs held in the REC Registry move between accounts regularly, so registered holdings data should be considered as a guide only.

This data is from 1 January 2017 – 30 November 2017. For data by month use the download below.

Glossary of terms

ProgressDescription
Accredited renewable power stationsLarge-scale renewable energy power stations that have been accredited.
Committed projectsCommitted projects refers to large-scale renewable energy projects that have received all development approvals and reached a final investment decision according to the commercial understanding of the term.
Probable projectsProbable projects have a high degree of confidence that they will proceed following a public announcement of a power purchase agreement with a strong counter party or other evidence of funding.
Power station expansionExpansions to existing accredited power stations that are captured on the committed and probable project lists will not appear on the accredited power station list once approved.
