The Clean Energy Regulator has released a posture on the use of voluntary assurance audit reports for National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting (NGER).
The posture sets out the types of voluntary audits the Clean Energy Regulator may take into consideration prior to selecting Regulator-initiated audits over NGER data.
Reporters are encouraged to familiarise themselves with this posture for upcoming and future reporting requirements.
If you are considering getting a voluntary audit, you are encouraged to engage an auditor from the Register of Greenhouse and Energy Auditors. These audits assist reporters in ensuring they have complied with reporting requirements in accordance with the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act 2007.
Reporters who elect to carry out a voluntary audit should attach the audit report, including the Part B detailed findings, to their report submission in the Emissions and Energy Reporting System.
More information on complying with the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting scheme is available on the Clean Energy Regulator website.
For more information on audits under our schemes, or to engage a registered greenhouse and energy auditor, please visit the Audit Hub or email email@example.com.
