Map shows the total number of small-scale renewable energy systems installed under the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme in each state and territory, and the total kilowatt rated output for August 2015, and the national cumulative totals since 2001 as listed below.

*Given the 12-month period for creating small-scale technology certificates, the number of certificates for monthly installations will continue to rise. The data which informs this month’s update is accurate as at 3 September 2015. For up to date figures, please refer to the postcode data for small-scale installations.

  • Victoria had the largest system installed in August, at 99.8kW
  • Queensland had the second largest system installed in August, at 50kW
  • Of the 7 835 small-scale systems installed this month, Queensland had the highest overall level of small-scale installations at 2 343

Types of small-scale systems installed in each state and territory

Each table below shows the breakdown of system types installed in each state and territory for August 2015, and the running total since the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme commenced in 2001.
