Clean Energy Act 2011, we were required to keep a database known as the Liable Entities Public Information Database (LEPID).
As of 30 June 2015 we are no longer required to keep and maintain the LEPID following the repeal of the Clean Energy Act 2011.
Final versions of the 2012-13 LEPID and 2013-14 LEPID (correct as at 30 June 2015) are maintained on this website as a matter of public record. There will be no further changes to the LEPID.
Legal 'persons' were included in the LEPID if we had reasonable grounds to believe the person was, or was likely to be, a liable entity in either 2012-13 or 2013-14.
The LEPID was updated regularly on the basis of information made available to us. The list of who was likely to be liable could change due to individual circumstances, for example changes in corporate structure, divestment, and expected changes in activity/emissions, liability transfer or joint ventures.
In addition to the names of liable entities, we added the following information as it becomes available throughout the carbon pricing mechanism life cycle:
About The Clean Energy Regulator
Carbon Farming Initiative
Carbon Pricing Mechanism
National Greenhouse And Energy Reporting
Renewable Energy Target
Emissions Reduction Fund
Our Systems And Their Resources
