The Emissions Reduction Fund has now purchased 192 million tonnes of abatement through 473 contracts.
The ninth Emissions Reduction Fund auction, held from 24–25 July, contributed more than 59 thousand tonnes of abatement to the overall total, with three carbon abatement contracts awarded for three projects.
The Clean Energy Regulator purchased carbon abatement at an average price of $14.17 per tonne, with a contracted value of near $840,000.
