Register now for the 2019 safeguard mechanism workshops

28 May 2019

Do you know that reported baselines expire on 1 July 2020? Does your facility’s calculated baseline expire at the end of this year? Have you got a strategy in place for 2018–19 and 2019–20?

To assist responsible emitters and service providers in understanding the recent amendments to the Safeguard Rule, the Clean Energy Regulator is hosting a series of safeguard workshops.

These sessions will cover the new baseline setting arrangements including:

  • Moving from a reported baseline to a calculated baseline
  • Moving from a current calculated baseline to a new calculated baseline, and
  • Applying for a production adjusted baseline.

We will also cover how the new baseline setting process interacts with available excess emissions management options.

The workshops will go for two hours, from 9 am to 11 am, including time for questions and morning tea.

Representatives of the Clean Energy Regulator will also be available to answer more detailed questions in one on one meetings from 11 am to 3 pm. To register your interest for a one on one meeting, please contact reporting@cleanenergyregulator.gov.au.

Workshops will take place in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth in June 2019. Register now as places are limited.
