The Clean Energy Regulator will hold the ninth Emissions Reduction Fund auction on 24–25 July 2019.
The auction format and process remains unchanged from auction eight. The Clean Energy Regulator is able to purchase between 25 and 100 per cent below the benchmark price; and is again open to entering into contracts that are contingent on the participant entering into a further contract with a third party.
Performance of existing projects and contracts will continue to be taken into account when determining whether project owners are eligible to participate at auction.
For additional information on the timeframes, see participating in an auction.
