The Climate Change Authority has released the findings from its review of the Emissions Reduction Fund.
The Climate Change Authority is required by legislation to review the Emissions Reduction Fund every three years. This is the Climate Change Authority’s first review of the scheme since its introduction in 2014.
The review found the Emissions Reduction Fund is performing well, is a well-administered scheme and did not find any systemic problems.
We welcome the report and will be working through the detail of the findings with the Department of the Environment and Energy to enhance the administration of the scheme.
The full review and a summary of the recommendations can be found on the Climate Change Authority’s website.
