Process

We will add more forms as they are developed to enable various administrative processes under the Clean Energy Act 2011.

Each form provides background information on the administrative process it applies to and basic instructions for use.

Each form can be either:

  • downloaded, completed on screen, saved and printed, or
  • printed and completed by hand.

Each form consists of multiple parts to accommodate different types of applicants. You only need complete the parts relevant to your application. Do not submit the unrelated (not completed) parts of the application.

Registration as a liable entity

This form can now be completed online via the Client Portal. Before you commence your application online, we recommend you download a copy of the registration as a liable entity guideline to assist you. Once you have submitted your registration as liable entity, you will receive an acknowledgement of receipt of the registration application within one day.

Australian National Register of Emissions Units (ANREU) accounts

There are forms to apply to open an ANREU account. Existing account holders can also provide their bank account details using the bank details form for ANREU account holders.

Threshold estimator and user guide

The threshold estimator (XLS 5.12 mb) is a tool to assist users to self-assess if:

The threshold estimator can be used to obtain an estimate of covered emissions, scope 1 and scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions, energy production, and energy consumption based on data entered by the user.

Applications for 2012-13 opened on 1 July 2012 and closed on 31 October 2012, except for the EITE activities of:

  • 'production of fused zirconia', for which applications close on 31 May 2013
  • 'production of nickel', for which applications close on 31 May 2013
