The Clean Energy Regulator will hold the
tenth Emissions Reduction Fund auction on Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 March 2020.
The format of the next Emissions Reduction Fund auction has undergone some changes from previous auctions to simplify participation, including reducing processing times and not setting a benchmark price to allow all eligible auction bids to be considered. Participants are reminded of the need to bid competitively as bids will be assessed on the basis of their ability to contribute to least cost abatement.
This auction retains the flexible contracting options offered previously, including the well-received immediate delivery and partial contracts. Partial contracts can cover a portion of a project’s estimated abatement, or cover a portion of the crediting period.
Existing participants who missed out previously, are encouraged to come forward again at this auction with competitive bids to secure a Commonwealth contract. We encourage all participants to familiarise themselves with the updated Guidelines for the tenth Emissions Reduction Fund auction.
If you are new to the scheme and are interested in
participating in this auction, you must first register an eligible project. You will have until 10 February 2020 to register your project(s) before you can participate in this auction.
Use our interactive questionnaire to find out if your project is
eligible to participate in the Emissions Reduction Fund.
