The Clean Energy Regulator congratulates Ms Chloe Munro on being recognised in the 2018 Australia Day Honours List for her outstanding contribution to the public service.
Ms Munro was named as an Officer (AO) in the General Division for her distinguished service to public administration through leadership roles in the area of renewable energy, water and climate change process and reform, and to the performing arts.
Most notably, Ms Munro was central to the establishment of the Clean Energy Regulator where she served as Chair from 2012-2017. Following the completion of her term as Chair, Ms Munro continued to demonstrate her commitment to renewable energy through her work on the panel of the Independent Review into the Future Security of the National Electricity Market (Finkel Review).
Other highlights of Ms Munro’s distinguished career include pivotal leadership roles with National Water Commission, AquaSure—the consortium building Victoria’s desalination plant, Hydro Tasmania, and Secretary of the Victorian Government’s Department of Primary Industries and also Department of National Resources and Environment.
