Our purpose statement distils our agency’s reason for being. Carbon abatement is a unifying theme that runs through everything we do. Our activities are all connected to measuring, managing, reducing or offsetting Australia’s carbon emissions.
As outlined in our
Corporate Plan 2016–20 we define four objectives that describe the type of regulator we aspire to be, the relationships we need to build, and our approaches to allocating resources, investment and operations that underpin the achievement of our purpose. Our performance is laid out against these four objectives. We assess our performance against these objectives. Collectively, the performance indicators for each of our four objectives measure our performance against our purpose.
