For the 2015–16 reporting year the Clean Energy Regulator has continued to accelerate carbon abatement in Australia through the administration of its schemes. In 2015–16 more than 95 million tonnes of carbon abatement were contracted during the year. In addition, 15.9 million megawatt hours of electricity was generated by large-scale renewable power stations.
The performance of each scheme, as outlined in the following chapter, demonstrates their contribution to our purpose of accelerating carbon abatement for Australia.
