The Clean Energy Regulator has developed the documentasset:Compliance Priorities 2017
Underpinned by the Compliance, Education and Enforcement Policy, the Compliance Priorities 2017 identifies the agency’s focus areas for 2017 and the approach to regulation.
In 2017, as an agency, we will be looking to make more use of the wealth of data that we have about our clients, with a focus on comparing data across our schemes. The Compliance Priorities also highlights particular areas that we will focus on for each of our schemes:
We will be targeting activities in those areas that pose a high risk to the agency. In addition to our day-to-day compliance activities, this approach aims to increase voluntary compliance and meet our agency objectives.
Ensuring high levels of compliance will be a continued focus and the compliance plan will increase agency transparency and accountability to clients and the public. By sharing this information, it is hoped that levels of voluntary compliance will increase and areas for improvement will be identified.
