Who we are 

We publish details about our organisation and structure of the agency.

We publish details of our functions, including information about our decision-making powers and other powers affecting our participants.

Consultation

We publish details on consultation arrangements for specific proposals that the public can comment on.

Freedom of information (FOI)

We publish information that we have released in response to FOI requests (excluding exceptions) in our FOI disclosure log.

Operational information

We publish information held by us to perform or exercise our functions and powers in making decisions or recommendations affecting members of the public. Our operational information can be found by using the search function on our website.

Legal expenses

Our total expenditure on legal services for the 2022-23 financial year was $1,672,951. The internal legal spend was $1,026,396 and the external legal spend was $646,555. All figures exclude GST.

Part II of the FOI Act

We will comply with the other requirements of Part II of the FOI Act.

  • We will have regard to any guidelines issued by the Information Commissioner under section 93A of the FOI Act.
  • In performing a function or exercising a power under Part II of the FOI Act, we will also have regard to the objects of the FOI Act as set out in sections 3 and 3A.
  • We will cooperate with any review of our handling of the publication scheme carried out by the Information Commissioner.
  • We will comply with the requirement in subsection 10(2) of the FOI Act in relation to the application of any rule, guideline or practice in the unpublished information.
  • The Agency will review the operation of its IPS from time to time, in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Information Commissioner about IPS compliance review. The last review was approved on 13 August 2020.
