I am pleased to present the Clean Energy Regulator’s Annual Report for 2012–13.
The first full year of operation of the Agency was also the first year of the carbon pricing mechanism. It was an intense period of activity as we developed and deployed new capabilities without missing a beat in the operation of the longer established schemes.
At the start of the year, the Members of the Regulator identified five core objectives for the Agency, which are integrated across our full range of responsibilities. The achievements documented in this annual report chart our progress towards these objectives.
At the year’s end, the Agency can claim considerable success. We have established our credentials as a competent and responsive regulatory authority. These are strong foundations on which to build.
