Deliverable: Publication of the Liable Entities Public Information Database.
Through the Liable Entities Public Information Database, the Clean Energy Regulator publishes information about legal ‘persons’ that are, or are likely to be, liable under the Clean Energy Act 2011 in a given financial year. The scope of the information is specified in the Clean Energy Act 2011, and includes details of the liable entities’ greenhouse gas emissions and emissions units.
The Clean Energy Regulator first published the Liable Entities Public Information Database for 2012–13 on 5 May 2012. Throughout 2012–13, the Clean Energy Regulator maintained the Liable Entities Public Information Database through regular updates as new information became available, adding new liable entities as they satisfied the criteria of the Clean Energy Act 2011, and deleting entries as appropriate. From 5 April 2013 to 21 June 2013, the database was also updated weekly to show unit transactions; on 28 June 2013, the database was updated to show unit shortfalls. The database is published on the Clean Energy Regulator website.
