Paragraph 11.1(ba) of the Legal Services Directions 2005 requires agencies subject to the Financial Management and Accountability Act 1997 to publicly report their legal services expenditure. Table B.1 provides a breakdown of the Clean Energy Regulator’s expenditure for 2012–13.
1. The former Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency provided internal legal services to the Clean Energy Regulator under a shared services arrangement for part of 2012–13. The billed amount for these services is included in Internal Legal Services Expenditure.
2. Counsel fees relate to a matter which was first briefed prior to the 2012–13 financial year. Therefore, no new briefs have been recorded.
